Got true grit?

'Life is tough. Life is tougher when you're stupid.' John Wayne Exchange the word 'life' with 'work' in this quote and it still rings true. What The Duke was trying to tell us is stand tall, tighten that big belt buckle and get after it. No excuses, justifications, rationalizations, blame. If you're stuck, it's because you're letting yourself stay stuck. If you need help, go get it. Beginning October 3rd, there are 65 weekdays remaining in 2016. Subtract the time you plan to be off for the holidays and you'll get the total number of business days you have left this year. Whether you thrive or simply survive in 2017 depends on what you decide to do with the remaining days and hours of 2016. Before Friday, September 30th, review your growth plan, rededicate yourself to do what you know is necessary. Work hard and smart and you'll likely finish this year stronger than you imagined. And you'll set 2017 up for success, which would be a great reason to unwind and celebrate on New Year's Eve. Make the smart choice; take ownership of your outcomes. You know what needs to be done. Big belt buckle or not, get after it, keep moving. 'True Grit is making a decision and standing by it, doing what must be done. No moral man can have peace of mind if he leaves undone what he knows he should have done.' John Wayne
